Meet Melissa
Melissa Lopez grew up in a small town in the heart of Kansas. Her mother always knew that Melissa would be in the beauty industry. She would share stories about when Melissa was a child, stating that Melissa was often found giving makeovers to all of her cousins, friends, dolls, and anything Melissa could get her tiny hands on. Melissa loved seeing their excited reactions when they would see themselves in the mirror, “made over”.
Melissa Lopez attended Paul Mitchell the School in Tyson’s Corner, VA in 2013. She received her cosmetology license and fell even more in love with hairstyling and makeup artistry. She knew then that she wanted to be in the bridal beauty industry.
Melissa Lopez then took a position assisting one of the most incredible hairstylist’s in Washington DC. There she learned more in depth styling techniques which lead her to follow her dreams of starting her own Bridal Hairstyling and Makeup Business, which is now known as Southern Charm Bridal Hair & Makeup by Melissa.
